Finally! Some Good News
Things are looking up. A BB was found on the floor by Abby's pillow...the buckshot in her hip worked its way out.
The vet said her test results are OK and within normal range. The xrays showed a slightly enlarged heart with some pressure on the trachea, and 9 buckshot pellets in her chest and torso.
Enjoying a visit with her special Aunt and relaxing on her bed.

Vet Update Results
Abbey Lane had X-rays taken and what they found was the heart a little enlarged, nothing to be too concerned about and Buckshot! Yep, you read it right. This girl has numerous fragments of buckshot that showed up on the X-ray. This is what Lisa had to say, "We had a chest X-ray and blood work done on Thursday to see how she's doing. The vet- as I suspected was amazed at how well she is doing considering all the issues she is dealing with.
Chest X-ray show a slightly enlarged heart but lungs look decent. I forwarned Maggie that they might also see some bright metallic objects and as I suspected she has about 9 buckshot just in the chest area alone. She is eating like a champ and on the right course for heartworm treatment once we get the Lyme disease and RMSF under control."
